We've received more press than any Ohio girl could ever dream of receiving... NYTimes, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, etc...but nothing, I mean nothing, makes me want to trade in my Dansko’s for Christian Louboutin oxfords like a shout-out in Vogue!
I get it
monthly. I read it, I study it. I save my issues and go back to them
for inspiration regularly. My absolute favorite magazine on the whole
planet is Australian Vogue Entertaining + Travel - a publication that I
have subscribed to many years. I grew up reading French Vogue - it was
a staple at the French bakery where I worked (I tried very hard to
learn French this way, didn't work.. but I did cut out a lot of flawless
bare butts - which I made into peaches for greeting cards).
So, when I heard that Sally Singer (Fashion and News Editor at Vogue) had been ordering our ice creams regularly and that she has chosen us as one of her gift recommendations in this year’s December issue - well, I was over the moon. We all were. (If you get a copy we are three flips from the back, lower right corner!)
Today we are celebrating with a beautiful lunch for the whole kitchen. Ratatouille tarts, fresh greens and radishes with Ohio maple vinaigrette and Kristen's blackberry crisp made with leftover black berries from summer flavors! We'll have Champagne later...
