Above: America's best pints of ice cream, according to the Alton Brown and the fine folk at the Food Network
The Best Thing I Ever Ate and now America's Best? In one year?
Oh, go on, Food Network.
That's right, friends and fans (and uninitiated readers): tune in to the Food Network at 9 p.m. Thursday Sept. 23 to learn why the stalwart station's speed-talking host Alton Brown has deemed Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams one of "America's best" sweets.
(Additional show times here.)
We'll be watching the proceedings in the Burgundy Room in the Short North where we watched the Food Network's first piece on Jeni's back in 2004 (Roker on the Road). If you're in the area, come out and say hello.
So, thanks a million to our compadres, our customers and our mothers and fathers for bringing us into this world (stole that last bit from a long, lost Michael Jackson Grammy Award acceptance speech). We can't wait to see what the loquacious Mr. Brown has to say about the ice cream our crack kitchen team is cranking out every day for the people and we couldn't be more proud of the latest acknowledgement by the tastemakers at the Food Network.
Cheers!
Who featured Jeni's on The Best Thing I Ever Ate? And what episode was it? I would love to see it!!!

Best Thing I Ever Ate featured Jeni's in their Hot & Spicy episode, for the Queen City Cayenne. Also one of my 3 favorite Jeni's scoops!
Congrats, Jeni!

Amanda: It was Esquire editor Ryan D'Agostino -- the Hot & Spicy episode, starring Queen City Cayenne.
Brinda: (a) we'll ship right to your doorstep, if you like and (b) you can pick up pints at the Gourmet Library in Springfield.
Paul: You can pickup pints locally at Whole Foods!
Here's a treasure map for you both: http://bit.ly/pintmap

I saw the episode that featured you guys, and thanks to that episode, I just ordered four pints from you guys. I'm so excited to get my ice cream next week! I ordered salty caramel, askinosie dark milk chocolate, backyard mint, and sweet corn & black raspberries.

Excellent choices, Kat. Thanks for the order -- can't wait to hear more once you get a taste! (P.S. Try a duo with Askinosie + Backyard Mint.)
