Just a friendly reminder that we use no chemistry set dyes, which is why the colors of our ice creams, yogurts, and sorbets lean toward all-natural whites, beiges, browns, and light yellows. Exceptions, naturally, include Wilberry Lavender, Cherry Lambic Sorbet, and other flavors that feature un-tinkered-with berries, fruits, and vegetables.
Now, we do add splashes of color to Violets & Meringue ice cream, the upcoming Savannah Buttermint ice cream and to some of our macaroon cookies. When we do, we paint directly from nature's palette. Beet powder, deep-purple carrot powder (liquefied, above), beta-carotene, and turmeric--the hues of these natural ingredients make for delicious, eye-popping visions.
